Hosted at Anchor Fitness HQ - 31-79 Paisley Drive, Lawnton QLD 4500, but can be run anywhere that you have access to regular gym equipment.
When is it?
There is an initial brief at 0700 h 12 Oct 24, where I will describe the workout, give an explanation for the movements, the numbers of repetitions, explain gym layouts (warm up areas / bathrooms etc.) and outline heat timings. Each heat is 15 minutes long, The first heat will run from 0715 h with a 5 minute break between heats. Each heat will have between 8-10 participants.
What do I need?
The principal equipment list for the workout (as prescribed) is: 1 x assault or echo bike, 1 x skipping rope, 1 x barbell with weights that add up to 110 KG (male weight) or 70 KG (female weight), 1 x box to jump on that is 24 inches tall. There is a recommended scaled version, or you can choose weights / heights that are available or appropriate to you. Feel free to contact me for guidance on how to scale appropriately.
Do I have to participate to support?
No, there is a link on the Aiming For Average website that will take you directly to the Starlight Children's page, or you may donate on the day. There is also a gold coin raffle that will be run at the gym, with prizes to be announced on the day.
What do I get if I win?
As this is a charity event, there are no individual category winners, but all participants, donors and volunteers will receive a 2024 challenge coin as a token of my appreciation.
